What is Your Birthstone?
A birthstone is a gift of precious material such as a gem which symbolizes the month in which the person was born. Birthstones have been around throughout much of history but in 1912 the Jewelers of America, a national association, adopted an 'offiical' birthstone calendar - which is now widely used througout the world.
